To work
Started work today cleaning games stalls. The guys we met are so friendly. The interesting thing only occurred after Morey's piers opened for operation. We had an early dinner and went back to start work. Was initially asked to man the same stall as Shuling, but I guess they were in lack of workers so they pushed me to the darts stall. I thought it was damn miserable considering that the weather was friggin' chilly and the breeze was like a gal, but the night was pretty interesting. TO my left was a thai called Pond who was exceptionally friendly and aptly kept me entertained when I was bored. In front of me was a lady in charge of a ride. A high class, more scarey carousel.
What caught my attention was her announcement of the ride commencement and the end of the ride. It sounded so professional, that I thought it was similar to that of a stewardess announcing the arrival of a plane at its destination over the PA. THen later she caught my attention and waved, so I waved back. I thought it was Kelly. We stared at each other for awhile before I gestured to her that the wind was chilly. Yes, gesture coz she was easily 25m away. After that she got busy as her ride was quite popular and I just smiled at all the passer-bys. But once again she caught my attention. This time she was standing much nearer. "Where're you from?" she asked. At this point I realised it wasn't Kelly, so I fumbled on a reply: "Singapore". She then told me she was from Thailand. That was it, then she had to go back to her job coz someone came to the queue. I began to notice her, so I glanced once in awhile in her direction. She had a nice gait in the walk and a pleasant posture. She noticed me glancing a couple of times and we exchanged smiles a couple of times. Then she came over when she was free. We started yelling to each other above the din of the noisy roller coasters. She told me how she thought I was Japanese and I told her how I found her English to be excellent, especially for one without formal training. I learnt that her mother was an English teacher. Anyway, it soon ended and we got back to work. As I was leaving I caught her attention and she thought I wanted to take a ride on her carousel, but I gestured that I was going off, and she sweetly smiled and waved back. Interesting I must say.
Slack.
